Callen-Lorde offers two support groups for men who
have sex with men (MSMs):
For men who are newly diagnosed with HIV-
this is for MSM who have tested HIV positive in the last
year. This 90-minute psychoeducational group runs weekly
for 12 weeks. Information related to HIV transmission,
prevention and sexual health are offered in the context
of mutual support from group members.
Long-term survivors with HIV/AIDS - for men who have lived with HIV for over ten years.
Callen-Lorde also has an HIV Positive Women's Support Group. This on-going group offers support and education to lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight identified women living with HIV.
Patients without Medicaid or ADAP
are billed a low fee-per-group. For
