Transgender COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD
Callen-Lorde is recruiting volunteers for our newly-created Transgender Community Advisory Board (CAB). If you are transgender identified and have ever been a Callen-Lorde patient or are an interested community member, we welcome your participation and input.
What is the Transgender Community Advisory Board (CAB)?
The mission of the Trans CAB is to provide input regarding transgender care, services, and programs at Callen-Lorde. This is your opportunity to bring your experience, ideas, and suggestions into a forum to discuss and influence positive changes at Callen-Lorde.
The CAB will begin January 16th and continue monthly every 3rd Wednesday from 6-7:30pm at Callen-Lorde. Food will be provided.
Our goal is to have a broad representation of our patients and community members, so we invite everyone to apply, inclusive of all genders (within trans experience), races, ages, HIV status, and experiences.
How do I apply?
Below is a short application form that you will need to complete and return to us. Unfortunately, not everyone who applies will be able to serve on the CAB. We want to ensure we have representation of all segments of our patient population and will need to limit the sive of the CAB to between 10-15 people.
Note: Your participation and/or input regarding services at Callen-Lorde will be confidential and will in no way impact the care you receive at Callen-Lorde.
