Transgender Health Services
Individuals of transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) experience have faced and still face widespread discrimination and misunderstanding from health care providers. As a consequence, many persons of transgender experience do not get primary and preventive care.
Callen-Lorde provides a trans-affirmative environment where you can receive hormone therapy, as well as engage in an ongoing relationship with a primary care provider and/or a mental health provider to address the all of your health and wellness needs.
Callen-Lorde provides Care Coordination for our patients of transgender experience who need that assistance. Our Care Coordinators offer information, assistance and referrals regarding benefits and entitlements for our patients of transgender experience, including insurance, housing, and referrals to other supportive services.
